The Downtown Dallas area is experiencing an extraordinary amount of architectural remodeling and growth, but it is not the first time. My goal with this project was to capture the old, the current, and the future structures that make up the ever-changing skyline as a documentary work that will depict the city in late 2008. The images chosen to represent my idea clearly show the contrast between late 19th century to early 20th century, the mid 20th century to early 21st century, and what is currently being built for the future. I believe that it is important to document these changes and contrasts so generations to come might look back and see the evolution of such a prospering area and appreciate what it was back then and how far we will have come.
