CMS (Content Management System) based websites are much more dynamic than basic HTML websites and allow for more custom and complex features such as user handling, blogging, comments, forums, shopping cards, and much more because they are built with PHP,.NET, or other dynamic programming languages.
For efficiency’s sake, mainstream CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla and Drupal are often utilized because they can be quickly deployed to servers and have many pre-built templates that can be easily modified to make your website look great while still being unique and easy to update.
There are a huge number of custom extentions and plugins available that perform just about any task you might want on your website, many of which are free.
